prince and princess
care for orphaned and abandoned children
Prince and Princess (P&P) is one of the projects of South Asia Evangelical Mission (SAEM) based in southern India. The aim of P&P is to raise orphaned and abandoned children in a family-oriented atmosphere and provide them with food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and loving care. These children became orphans by abandonment or loss of parents due to accidents, HIV/AIDS, and other misfortunes. Our desire is that these children would eventually become independent, successful individuals and disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
At present P&P cares for 16 children between the ages of eight and fourteen. Eight children are cared for in a home-based setting under the supervision of house parents Paul and Joy Srinivasan, while eight children are cared for through their grandparents under the supervision of Moses Pugal and Suganti. Both groups of children are required to attend a partnering local church.
The cost of fully supporting all the needs of one of these children is $80 (USD) monthly.

Our near-term future goals
At present P&P is in a rented facility, but we are currently raising support to purchase land. We desire to build our own building so that we can provide adequate space for the children we have, with the potential to take in more children as the need arises. We are aspiring to become self-sustaining in the long-run through agriculture and other income projects.
The total cost of the land and building project is estimated to be $100,000 (USD).
PURE Ministries was founded by Nick Sandusky, pastor of Arkabutla Baptist Church in Arkabutla, Mississippi. PURE Ministries is based on the Bible verse James 1:27: “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world” (KJV).
This highlights the importance of orphan care, which reflects our faith and practice. Our partnership began in January of 2015 when Pastor Nick Sandusky visited India to train pastors and missionaries for a week. His visit with P&P inspired him to enter into a partnership with us.
Pastor Sandusky observed: “As I saw the need of P&P it was this verse that kept running through my mind. There had to be something we could do to help. As I spent more time with John the more I saw that P&P was not just helping children materially, but more importantly they were investing in them spiritually. They pour the Gospel into these children, while praying they become witnesses for Christ in their own land one day.”
